This laptop is operating under Kernel version 2.6.20-16
I've only had this laptop for a couple of days. So far it seems pretty sturdy. The screen is big and bright. Easy to see as long as there is nothing behind you to glare on it. The layout of the editing keys below the numeric keypad and the right shift key gets some getting used to.
So far, it seems to be build fairly sturdy. I think I'm going to enjoy this laptop. I hope it lasts at least half as long as my previous eMachine 5300 (over 6 years).
